Since its foundation in 1888, ASB – its German name means “Workers’ Samaritan Federation” – has provided services that focus on people’s needs, including care for the elderly, rescue services and First Aid, assistance for children and young people, support for people with disabilities and those suffering from mental problems, as well as Foreign Aid and adult and further education.

The main office for Greece is located in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece and has officially been open since June 2016. Currently ASB Greece is providing services in three refugee camps in Greece (Katsikas, Filippiada and Agia Eleni).

What we do

With its first mission abroad in 1921, Foreign Aid became a major component of the organisation. Humanitarian and democratic principles form the basis of our activities at home and abroad.
