Since January 2019, ASB’s programs in Greece have been funded by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Union (DG HOME) in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which contributes to addressing the refugee crisis in Europe. DG HOME in Greece supports the Greek government in providing services to 33 hospitality structures in mainland Greece.
In 2020 through the project “Supporting the Greek Authorities in Managing the National Reception System for Asylum Seekers and Vulnerable Migrants (SMS)” IOM and ASB aim to ensure dignified and harmonized standards of reception and protection for migrants (including asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection) residing in hospitality structures in mainland Greece, supporting the Greek Government in the management of all structures operating in the country.
