ASB, assumes the Site Management Support role in Epirus region.

As of 15th of February 2018, ASB will provide continuous support service to the management team of Katsikas, Filippiada, Konitsa and Doliana camp in Epirus; a project  funded by the European Commission Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

Through out 2018, ASB will provide support to refugees and migrants in Epirus through its integrated multi-sector response that addresses the urgent need for refugee assistance in the region. This response will reach about 5,500 beneficiaries through a package of services that includes the provision of SMS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) monitoring, shelter, maintenance and repair, non-food items, food assistance until beneficiaries can register for cash assistance and transportation services. This project has two other components also funded by EU emergency support: the provision of primary medical care, psycho-social support, legal aid and informal educational activities, implemented by ASB’s partners WAHA International and ARSIS respectively.

ASB’s priority is to provide and maintain secure and dignified living conditions with access to urban services, enhanced physical and psychological security, strengthened self-protection and self-reliance capacities for all refugees and migrants in Northern Greece.

ASB is a non-political and non-denominational charity and relief organisation. We help all people – regardless of their political, ethnic, national and religious affiliation.

ASB started its operations in Greece in response to the Refugee crisis which hit this part of Europe during 2016. The main office for Greece is located in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece. ASB has been actively involved in the provision of humanitarian aid since the beginning of the refugee crisis through the implementation of humanitarian aid projects in Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, FYRoM and decided to expand its activities to Greece upon the outbreak of the crisis in this country. The ASB Greece office has officially been opened in June 2016.
