Η ιστορία της ASB

Το 1888, έξι εργάτες από το Βερολίνο έβαλαν τα θεμέλια για το τι είναι σήμερα η Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund με το σεμινάριο «First-Aidincaseofaccidents». Από τότε και μετά, όλοι οι εργάτες είχαν τη δυνατότητα να βοηθήσουν σε περίπτωση ενός ατυχήματος στον εργασιακό χώρο.

 

Η ιστορία της ASB

Ένας μεγάλος αριθμός σοβαρών ατυχημάτων λόγω των μηχανημάτων στον εργασιακό χώρο τον 19ο αιώνα. Η προστασία για το προσωπικό όπως την ξέρουμε σήμερα ήταν κάτι άγνωστο στην τότε εποχή. Οι υπηρεσίες έκτακτης ανάγκης τότε ξεκινούσαν να εξελίσσονται, ενώ υπήρχε σοβαρή έλλειψη ιατρικού προσωπικού, οι οποίοι μπορούσαν να αντιδράσουν σε καταστάσεις έκτακτης ανάγκης γρήγορα. Όταν στις 28 Νοεμβρίου του 1884, ένας τοίχος 40 μέτρων σε ένα εργοστάσιο του Ekner κατέρρευσε και 3 ξυλουργοί θάφτηκαν από κάτω, ο GustavDietrich και πέντε συνεργάτες του συνειδητοποίησαν ότι υπάρχει ανάγκη οργάνωσης σεμιναρίων πρώτων βοηθειών. Η ιδέα πίσω από αυτό, ήταν να δοθεί η δυνατότητα στους εργάτες να βοηθούν τους συνεργάτες τους σε περίπτωση ενός ατυχήματος.
