In July, ASB Greece team took part at the Summer School on ‘The Migrant Crisis within the Greek context’, organized in Thessaloniki by City College, the International Faculty of University of Sheffield. Following the invitation to hold a presentation about the operations of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund office in Greece, Jelena Tesic, Georgia Mitsika and Mike Mousallam held a two hours long lecture to Greek and international students.
We strongly believe that information is the key and that the only way for the integration of the refugees to be done right is by involving the local community into the process. Educating as many people as possible about the challenges that refugees are facing daily can help finding solutions to various problems and establish paths and new successful mechanisms.
