On Monday, December 19th, there was the opening of the “Community Centre” in Diavata refugee camp in North Greece. In this space, ASB’s implementing partner on the project, ARSIS, is holding different activities for adults everyday (like knitting or mosaic workshop, language lessons, mother’s chatting corner, etc.). On Saturdays, the Community Centre becomes a child friendly space.
The ground floor of the building was painted by ARSIS field staff and refugee volunteers who wanted to participate and add their touch to the whole project.
The project is funded by European Commission Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”11″ gal_title=”Opening of the Community Centre in Diavata”]
